The Play4kids Foundation was established on June 16, 2009, by the couple Robert and Saar Houwaart. Two passionate compatriots with an enormously warm heart for the development of children in general, and in particular for those with an intellectual or physical disability and children who find themselves in an unstable home situation.
Robert and Saar married in 1978 and have two daughters, two sons-in-law, and three grandchildren. Through the Play4kids Foundation, they invite as many people as possible to commit themselves, in connection with one another, to children who fall through the cracks and to offer them the opportunity for a promising life. To this end, a number of successful projects have already been established both nationally and internationally. Prior to the establishment of the Play4kids Foundation, this was done on a private basis.
